Stripe Affair

I am used to associating September with back-to-school, back to riding in a train-full of bodies while getting comfortable with strangers, with rain boots and emergency umbrellas becoming...well, in use and not so much a plan B. But this summer, of which I will now call Summer of 2013, proves to be quite the little stubborn one, with a bit of schizophrenic flair...a bit like me, and that's why we like each other quite a lot.

This outfit post features this classic, striped skirt.The stripes and the structured wide pleats of the skirt complements almost any figure, giving the illusion of a curvy silhouette. Cinched with a belt, this skirt is flattering on any shape. I kept the theme of black and white, drawing on a bit of a sophisticated French flair (although I am no Parisian in anyway....except that I love eating croissants and macaroons. Does that count?!) with the addition of a hat. With the necessary pops of complimentary colours - cobalt blue and tangerine - voila, this outfit is complete!
